Hi there! I’m Orlando Mulder from the Netherlands, I’m 19 years old and I ride on pretty much every popular spot in the Netherlands! it mainly depends on the wind conditions where I ride!
Why, and at what age did you get into kiting?
My cousin taught me the basics of kite surfing when I was 16 years old and after my first time on the water I was instantly addicted to the sport. When I got home after that day I straight away bought my first kite!
What about kiting do you enjoy most?
What I enjoy the most about kiting is the feeling you get when you boost 20m+ high and fly 100m far. It’s in my opinion the closest thing that comes to actual flying !
Describe the absolute perfect dream session to us.
My dream session would be a 35+ knots sunset session in Cape Town, together with my kite buddies! The trick I would land is boogie contra board-off !
What gear are you riding and what’s your favorite size?
I’m currently riding the amazing Supermodel HTF together with the Kevpro 133 and of course the Dreamstick X! My favorite size is a 7m in 40 knots !
What do you do on a day without wind?
On a day without wind I’m constantly on my phone checking the latest wind update and I like practice other sports like wakeboarding, snowboarding and waveriding!
What can people expect to see from you in the future?
People can expect from me that I’m going to keep growing my Instagram and that I’m going to do my absolute best to make some banger content!
