Please introduce yourself a little for those who don’t know you (who are you, where are you from, where do you usually ride)
Hi, my name is Torin I’m originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin but have been traveling full time since I was in 5th grade. My favorite riding spot has to be the Hood River Gorge area.
Why, and at what age did you get into kiting?
My dad inspired me to start kiting. After watching him my whole life I decided to give it a try when I was twelve years old.
What about kiting do you enjoy most?
I love the thrill of big air and getting launched into the sky, but the my favorite part about kiting is the freedom when I am out on the water.
Describe the absolute perfect dream session to us. (where? when? with who? conditions? what tricks would you land?)
My dream session would probably be in Lyle Washington with my sister and my friends. The wind would be mid to upper 30’s and I would be riding an 7 meter supermodel.
What gear are you riding and what’s your favorite size?
I have a 5, 7, 9, and 12 meter supermodels. I ride a 138 space agency. My favorite size kite has to be my 7m.
What do you do on a day without wind?
I enjoy pump foiling, rock climbing, and hiking on days with no wind.
What can people expect to see from you in the future?
I hope to one day compete in major big air kiteboarding events such as Red bull King of the Air and Full Power Tarifa.
