I’m Alessandro and I’m 14 years old. I’m from Portland, Oregon (USA). I usually ride in Hood River, Oregon.
At what age did you get into kiting?
I got into kiting when I was 11 years old. My dad is a Kitesurfer and he inspired me to start, after he shared with me all of his kitesurf stories around the world!
What about kiting do you enjoy most?
What I enjoy the most about kitesurfing is the air-time and the feeling of freedom. I’m a little bit of an adrenaline junkie!
Describe the absolute perfect dream session to us.
My absolute perfect dream session was at Lyle, summer 2022, with 30 knots wind with my seven meter kite. The tricks I landed were a double back roll kite loop board off, a boogie loop board off and a contra loop boogie board off.
What gear are you riding and what’s your favorite size?
I’m riding a Supermodel HTF, favorite size is a seven meters. My board is a KevPro 133.
What do you do on a day without wind?
On a day without wind I snowboard, or I skateboard, or surf, or BMX.
What can people expect to see from you in the future?
People can expect me to continue to progress in kitesurfing and compete at a high level (my goal is to be able to compete in King of the Air someday). In snowboarding my goal is to become an Olympian.
