Unique for Brainchild Production is the patented PROWELD technology. Instead of stitching the individual segments of the kite’s leading edge, Ralf Grösel developed a manufacturing technique that exclusively enables him to weld the individual segments together.
How a kite turns has always been a key focus for Damien when designing kites, and PROWELD allows for zero play between each Leading Edge segment. This means the entire LE acts as if it’s made out one one single piece – giving absolute perfect bending and rebound characteristics.
On top of the huge advantage in turning, responsiveness, and rider feedback, PROWELD requires a lot less material than traditional kite constructions, making Reedin kites produced at Brainchild, some of the lightest kites on the market, without the need for extremely expensive materials.
Unique for HYPERMODEL is a canopy construction built with Hardflyte and Teijin. The stiff Hardflyte is used in the center for the most lift, and to achieve the highest angle of attack. Our proven Teijin in the wing-tip provides a little more softness for the fastest turns possible.
HYPERMODEL creates more vertical pull because it sits further in the wind window. This means the period of pull in a kiteloop can be shorter, making learning your first kiteloops much easier and safer than before.
HYPERMODEL creates an extremely smooth and predictable pull through the loop, allowing you to unlock technical tricks and loop variations with incredible confidence. It shoots back up so quickly, you're guaranteed a quick catch, making timing less critical and more forgiving.
The Hardflyte Canopy material used for the middle section of the kite helps to generate maximum lift and allows for the highest possible angle of attack.
The Teijin canopy in the wingtips offer a slightly softer feel, and increase turning speed.
The PROWELD technique is used to connect all 18 Leading Edge segments. Drastically reducing weight by needing much less material and reinforcements, and creating a seamless connection for the most homogenous twist characteristics over the entire LE shape.
Help reduce drag on the outer side of the turn when steering or looping the kite.
Made from a polyester ripstop with mylar film, these lightweight struts give a perfect flex pattern.
