Nolan is our youngest new team member. At only 15 years of age, he’s proving to be a very talented rider with big ambitions!

Hi Nolan, introduce yourself!
My name is Nolan, I’m 15 years old and from Lelystad. That’s also where my homespot is: Hoekipadijk. It’s a spot with steady conditions where you can ride with almost all wind directions. I spend most of my time here, I teach wing foiling and ride as much as I can.
Awesome, how did you get into the sport?
I started windsurfing when I was 6 because of my father. A little while ago I started seeing videos on Instagram and YouTube of wing foiling and thought that would be really cool! I managed to get my hands on a set last year and fell in love with it.
So what do you enjoy so much about winging?
That feeling of freedom that you get, going 40km/h in absolute silence, and jumping mostly. I can express myself and focus on the things that I enjoy doing.
What tricks are you focussing on now?
I’m currently working on a 720, and switch stance 720. Those are the tricks I really want to land before the end of this year.
How did you join the Reedin team?
I was actually spotted by their crew while riding. I was still on my old beginner set but trying to push as hard as I could. That drew their attention and they gave me a chance to try out their gear. The progression I was able to make on the Reedin equipment has been insane! Things moved quickly from there and I’m proud to call myself a Reedin Teamrider now. I’m confident the new gear will allow me to reach my goals, and am excited to be part of this team.
You’ve been riding Reedin gear for a while, what do you love about it so much?
My favourite wing by far is the SuperWing X, I love how direct it feels, the power delivery, and mostly how reactive it is. Another advantage is that it’s very strong so I don’t destroy it on a big crash.
So what’s your current setup?
Right now I’m riding SuperWingX, and I’ve got a 980cm FlightAttendant with the 85cm carbon mast on the new 35L Feather board.
What lies in Nolan’s future?
First of all, I want to be on the water as much as possible and have the most fun I can. Every day I’m looking at the trees and forecast. Soon as it’s windy I try to get out of school and ride as much as possible. I hope to do competitions in the future, first in The Netherlands and then hopefully internationally.
